Sandra's Birthday Dinner

I went clubbing on Saturday, which it seems like I haven't done for a few weeks. There was no real purpose to it except to get out. I'm not working these days so I've been limiting the amount of socializing that I do.

Saturday we ended up at Pi, the No. 9. Vanessa's tennis buddy, Kelvin, is leaving HK so we spent the night partying with him and his large group of female friends. Kelvin's pretty easy to get along with so I asked them both to join me Sunday to play tennis.

There wasn't a lot of people out Sunday playing tennis. The people that I've introduced to the group have apparently been labeled as "my group". We had some good practice that day. It was interesting watching Vanessa beat down Uchidaさん at tennis. She literally knocked his racket out of his hands. She's been helping me improve my form so that I'm not such an embarrassment.

Sunday was also Sandra's birthday, but we ended up with a little get together on Monday instead. I had intentionally planned out out this way, based on Vanessa's recommendation, to take advantage of the 2 for 1 Super Mondays deals. We ended up with a nice dinner at Madisons with Tiff, Gloria, Kazue, Ronny, and our surprise guest Alvin. Flora helped me pick up the Christian Dior Summer Play Pink Essentials (263) lip gloss/die. You feel the happiest giving a present when the person tells you that they wanted to buy it themselves.

It has been gloomy and raining lately here in Hong Kong. Vanessa and I are a bit worried because she has a junk trip planned for this Sunday. I'm guessing this is partially due to the Typhoon that hit Japan. Hopefully things turn out okay.
