End of week summary. War is started, protests happening outside the US embassy (right beside CLA). Started working (and need to finish up) Notes DB developments. Progress is going okay, a bit behind schedule but manageable. Still feeling sick from this week. Rui moving in soon, I went to see his place and we went out to Ktown for food again. I picked up some gin sing gum (5 for $2) and have been distributing it around work. Interesting reactions. Haven't heard anything regarding my writeshield protectors, but I already have my MX 300 ear phones. Had to return the DVD player, actually exchange, because the older one had video problems. This time I documented my hack and it seems to work well so far. Just got back from Takebashi and Destiny (but the newier one). 'AhDee' is back from Japan for a week, surprised to run into him and Bernard at Destiny. He has the coolest J Phone, I wish I could have a J phone. Anyways, I hope I don't have to go in this weekend to work, but I need to spend some time trying to further my notes Development. I should plan a day to write the Notes certification exam. Weather has been fairly mild these days, spring like.

Training is going good, I lost a project because they needed the DB made right away so SoHo's picking it up. Picked up my Pioneer DV 353 K from Rick. Great guy, he picked it up for me at future shop Sunday, when there was only 2 left (out of a new shippment that day!). It was $139.99 CAD before tax, I think a good deal. Anyways, it's been hacked now, showing the region to be "_*", which means it is now region free. Time to test it using wH's region 3 Shiri DVD. Oh, getting out of work at 4 is amazing, there's better sights in the mall, and it just feels good to end the day early for once. Tried out a new Chinese resturant with Rick and Catherine tonight, we go out to some nice places. It wasn't too bad, but taro duck will probably make me throw up the next time I have it.

I wasted today away, playing games and not getting anything done. My room is still quite the mess, hopefully tomorrow I will get some of it cleaned up. Ktown venture today, it was pretty nice, Veronica was late again, she's always making us wait, Rick joined us and I met Rui's friend Adam, who's a cool guy as well. Went to our traditional place, Jinmirak, and I had my traditional meal, dol sut bibimbap. Right after Ricky and Veronica departed from us, and again we venture to 0.1 (our ktown excursions are becoming pretty typical). The original korean guy who spoke chinese to me a while back was there, I haven't seen him for a while, and also another pleasant surprise, they had a girl serving as well. She, seemed very sweet, nice smile, good form, fairly tall. I'll just leave it at that. Oh, Domo Rui for the CD. I'm sure I'll like it.

Ending this week! quick synopsis! Dying, dying, dying, okay simon's back, catchup catchup, looking good going into training course next week for Lotus Notes DB dev. Japanese Weds, Japanese Friday like tradition, attempted conversation with waitresses in Japanese, managed something but probably made myself look dumb, actually I know so, I can't believe I said kanjo-jyanai..., But at least I understood more than I thought. Worked out today as well, I did all 3 of my scheduled work out days this week. Tomorrow is a ktown event with Rui, and I'm bidding on the 2 ebay casio film watches. I know a lot of people aren't all that fond of the film watch, but since I personally like it, I want one. Oh, just to mention there's a big difference between steak at The Court House Market Grill, and The Pickle Barrel. Never again at The Pickle Barrel. Tiring week, so I'm going to end it here.

What a long day, both a good and bad day. Coke 355mL, my partner in crime at work, was away sick again today, and the amount of service calls was piling up. I had to do a lot of calling around to figure out what was going on with things. I was starting to feel ill at one point myself, I think due to the stress. I get stressed easily because I feel so responsible. Strange things were happening today at work for Linh. Her print jobs would not react the same, and rarely come out properly. At the end of the day I was proud that I had actually accomplished quite a bit considering how much initial time I had spent information gathering and consolidating. I think my co-worker SoHo understands. However, the bad part was my jook singness took a hit today. Not only did I go out to lunch with Edwin, Fion, Lina, and Rick, which I mean 'not only' because of course eating out with Fion my chinese is going to take beatings. But, on the bus ride home today there were 2 caucasian men, with name tags that had Chinese written on them. They proceeded to strike up conversations in mandarin with some of the other commuters. They were quite impressive, and had brought smiles to several of the other Chinese passengers. I am embarassed of my poor showing, however I have recently discovered a program for my PDA called Chinese2Go and Japanese2Go. It is a farily neat program that now only spells out common phrases, but pronouces them as well. Tlo got out early and went to work out without me, but I managed to go by myself, which is good I didn't decide to just go home. I made the mistake of adding some weight to my usual, and needed some assistance benching when the bar came down and I did not have the strength to push it back up. Yeah, embarassing, next time I'll wait for Tlo, except he's selfish and doesn't ever wait! Well, he's just got more socially going for him then I do.

A pleasant birthday. My co-workers are so nice! I got cake and some other presents. Work was crazy though and my lunch event went no where. Even Veronica didn't show, but she was stuck trying to get her US Visa for 4 hours. Right after I went to Ricky/Catherine's place and watched City by the Sea (I think?) It was an okay movie, but I never really connected with it. I've been listening to a lot of Lena Park recently, and the strange thing is that I've been listening to her for 3 years apparently. YY gave me a tape about 3 years back that I really liked but I never knew who it was until recently. We went to Court House Market Grill to eat, which was quite good, not extremely expensive, but a good price, for some decent stuff. The food was good, and service was good. The only incident is when a server came back to explain the a-la-carte style menu and it slightly offended Ricky and myself. But for around $40 I had steak+baked potatoe+white chocolate cheese cake. Nice environment with a high ceiling. L^2 told me there was a UWat event last night downtown clubbing, but this week has been too tiring. Just waiting to see what's going on today, my brother needs to pick up his XenoSaga game + art book. I got in on the Radio shack $19.99 for CD Wallet gift set as well. I bought 4, 2 for my co-worker, 1 for myself, and 1 for my brother. You get 128 CD wallet + 35 CD wallet + calculator (small one that looks like a cell phone). It was a pretty good deal for case logic. Thinkin about dim sum, I woke up before 9 out of habit so I am a bit tired still. I hope my UWat friends have a good grad ball this weekend.

Coral and Amy just called. A number of people just messaged me as well. It's nice to have such good friends, I wish I could spend time with them! Good luck for the grad ball, I'll see if I can do anything Saturday. I'll probably post more later.

Monday morning, It is cold of course. Ali saved me, I guess I don't need to do any dry cleaning. Everyone needs a friend like Ali. Rick's VCDs aren't working for me that well, I need to find time to reburn them to see what happens. This is too early to type anything else. The radio says it's going to -35 C with Wind Chill. Some new record, great.

Because I haven't updated for a while, I should update now. I was just talking to Nana (one of our Starcraft girls!) about web journals. Things that have happened this week. This week has been crazy for work, I'm getting some paid over time, which is good, but I've been feeling stressed and not very energetic. My work out schedule has not improved becaues of the late hours. Tues apparently XenoSaga came out, which EB did not inform me of, even though I have a pre-order. Lucky for me they still have art books, and I will go pick it up Monday. This will be for SiD. Tax season is in bloom, so I need to get started. Yesterday was my Chinese birthday (Jan 29 by Chinese Calander for this year). Rumour has it, next year it will fall on Feb 13th because Chinese New Years is in Jan. MY's birthday was on Monday, but we went out last night to celebrate. Just out to eat at Umi Sushi, Movie (Cradle 2 the Grave - Jet Li), and then our familar hang out, Destiny. Umi Sushi was interesting, it is korean run. I was ordering/speaking korean, and because of the way TLO looks, I think they thought him and I were korean (MY does not look korean). They did ask me, and I responded that I was not, but I think they still think TLO is. He wouldn't practice though and it was quite the disappointment. We did get complimentary green tea ice cream.Ahhh, only for the best right TLO? Rui moved in to his new place downtown, or is in the process of doing so. I'm disappointed by his lack of planning. I had called him earlier to confirm plans for dinner, and he manged to reply to me when they were going to dinner. Of course I am 1.5 hours offset due to traveling time. On the good side, I found out that the DVDs I had meant to purchase online were 'unlicensed' HK versions, and quickly had the seller refund my money. I'm lucky that he actually refunded my cash on paypal. Still debating about getting the Casio Film/Pela watch. Though, it's been a big conversational piece at work and with my friend RKTech about the Philippe Starck watch. I admit the design concept is nice, but the implementation is bad. Sorry fellas, it's a big bracelet. Things to do this coming up week, call Sears about a credit card issue, pay off my utility bills to my uncle, watch out to buy the watch, pick up XenoSaga for SiD, return Rui's copy of Failan since I have my own now, return the small 3L garabage can (thanks for buying for me Cathy!). I need to see the larger one, the look is nice but it is just too small. Also health card, and thinking about dry cleaning my coat since I recieved that $15 coupon in my e-mail for dry cleaning.
