The last of my closest friends have departed from HK. We went out that afternoon to have lunch in Central with another friend, Flora, whom I met last year when Coral came to visit. I apparently spelt her name name wrong on my phone. On my way there I ran into Celia, the women in the red dress, on the street. While talking to Sunny on the phone I totally freaked her out by putting my hand over her shoulder. I think I'm a bit too playful I've got to be more careful about that. We finished lunch at a funny table inside of Insomnia and went down to where SJSJ use to be to pick up something from Sunny's sister. She was crying on her way back up to work.
Afterwards I hung around in Causeway Bay waiting for Sunny to return with his things to go wakeboarding later. I dropped by the new LCX, in front of Diesel, to bring a drink over to Wing over at 55DSL. We chatted until Sunny and Priscilla came to Causeway Bay then I went with them to go wakeboarding. Well, actually I was only there to take pictures before it got too dark.
Afterwards it was a bit confusing. It was Germaine's birthday, and they had plans to go out, but like usual nothing firm. I wanted to get Sunny into the new
Beijing Club, but we couldn't confirm the guest list. Regardless, I still needed to go out to spend some time with her on her birthday. I went down to LKF to wait for them, and went to Volar first. Right after I got in the police came to check. I stood around for a while and then just left when it was over.
Beijing Club is nice. The inside looks nice. There are 3 floors, the top floor on the 5th floor was pretty much empty. There were a few more people on the middle floor on the couches, but the majority of the people were on the bottom floor. People that go there still prefer hip-hop and R&B I think.
My biggest surprise when I got there was running into Ran. She was there with a friend and I think she was pretty excited to see me as well. Afterwards I also ran into Carol, Sue, and Debbie. I was expecting more cold shoulder treatment from Sue, due to an incident with Cheryl, but she was surprisingly cheerful towards me. She had the best costume (maybe the only costume) there that night. I had such a good time everyone at Beijing Club I kind of didn't want to leave, but more important that partying with my HK friends there, was getting over to Redbox to be with my man Sunny.
I left the club sometime after 3am and headed over to the Redbox in Causeway Bay. A bunch of people were there that I knew already, Karl, Priscilla, Joyce, Maxwell, Julian, Geoff, and Jeff's girl friend Tiffany. Sunny has always been a good singer in my book, so it is fun to go Karaoke with him. We played a couple of drinking games, were generally just silly.
Bon Voyage Sunny! I hope to be back with you guys soon!

Gene told me he had to go to an art exhibit for his Grandfather the other night. I just happened to get a message online from Jamie asking me to take all my friends there. Well, I couldn't get my friends to go, but I did make an appearance.
The exhibit was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui. The art at the center of attention is the work of a
Johnson Chow (周士心). Geoff and his girlfriend Tiffany where also there when I arrived. I got to meet their mother and father, plus I managed to get an autographed book from their grandfather. It was a nice exhibit and we managed to keep ourselves entertained.
That night we went over to Prive to attend Wayne's birthday event. My Aussie friend Daniel was going away to China to work for a while so I decided to call him out as well. I felt bad because we had to work the bouncers to get him in, and it made it difficult to get all our friends in.
I have to say that night was truly amazing. I never had a night like that before. Gene and I wanted to get Sunny hooked up during this trip, even if it is just for fun. I think in general it would be great for his confidence. Not that he doesn't have confidence, but it stops at a point. The point in which you have to act on it. I mean I suffer from the same thing generally, I can talk to girls and recently I've gotten better at it in clubs, but that's where it ends. Grinding is a relatively new thing for me even though I've been clubbing all these years. I always go clubbing with my friends, and I rarely grind with them.
That night there was a girl there. She was visiting HK and she was cute. I thought actually that her and Sunny would end up hooking up. Sunny probably didn't want it to happen, and somehow I ran into the girl on the dance floor, and after some crazy dancing and grinding we ended up just making out all over the dance floor. Sorry Sharon there was no pube to pube rubbing, but it was pretty close. The agreement though was, what ever happened in the club, was just for that club that night.
Afterwards, Daniel wanted to see his girl over at Club No.9 so we all walked over. The boys were not impressed with No.9 and we ended up going for Pizza at O Cafe, above Dragon i. We got into a bit of an aggressive debate over the sharing of information. I think I took them by surprise about how strongly I felt about my stand.
Hopefully despite me disappearing on the dance floor, people enjoyed their night, and Gene could go home feeling fulfilled in his trip to Hong Kong.

Recently it has been partying after partying. That tends to be the case when Gene comes to visit, but it has truly been amazing. We had a fun night at Prive on Thursday night. Eva got her self a bit drunk, and I think the guy who did it, apparently someone they girls know, wanted to take her home. Actually I've seen the guy lurking at clubs. I guess when you go out to party enough, you get to know people without even meeting them.
Friday night I did a bit of running around. It would be Sharon and Freda's last night in Hong Kong. Also it would quite possibly Marell and Ralph's last night in LKF before they leave on Wednesday. So I ran over to Dragon-i first and hung out with Marell and Ralph. We chatted away and watched a birthday celebration happening infront of us. Marell was telling me about her interest in her new online blog
www.pinchthelook.blogspot.com. Apparently stopping people on the streets of Hong Kong to take their picture for a fashion blog isn't easy. She was often rejected and rudely. Her night wasn't wasted though, she managed to get a picture for her blog with a designer that was there that night for the party.
Even though I was enjoying myself, I had to cut things a bit short so I could meet up with my Toronto crowd. Priscilla arranged things for them at Penthouse, a Karaoke lounge located in Causeway Bay which I've heard of before but I've never had the chance to visit. Gene's brother Geoff just got in as well that night, so he was there with Fred and their other friend Louis. We managed to sing, horse around, and take plenty of questionable pictures. Sunny disappeared for a period of time in the VIP room getting to know everyone there. He seemed to be pretty drunk to me. We wanted to go to the new Beijing Club in Lan Kwai Fong, and he happened to meet a girl there who said she would bring us, and also expressed some interest in Gene.
Things were pretty good until we got Gene involved. For obvious reasons Sharon didn't seem entirly pleased with us. Though nice thing was that Sunny proved his loyalty in his drunken state. He said some words that really re-enforced my believe in his loyalty to his friends. Us especially. As Rui once taught me, when it comes to friends, loyalty is the most important aspect of friendship.

This deserves a post of its own. One of my good friends in Hong Kong has left today. Engaged to be married, she was carried away to the UK. We of course wish her the best, and I know people are already sad that she has left.
Angie has clearly been a big influence on my life in Hong Kong. She is an amazing friend and a crazy party girl (so hopefully she won't be bored out of her mind over there).
Her Barbecue was arranged near Tai Po, out in the New Territories. I met up with Hiroko after work and we went down together. It was my first time out in Tai Po. We actually took the bus up with one of their friends, but we didn't find out until we were at the BBQ.
I had a pleasant surprise there, Marell was there with two other models from
Dreamodels. Out of the models that I have met, Marell is hands down one of THE nicest. It seems to be the consensus amongst everyone who has ever met her.
Also on the sad note, Christine will also be leaving her job, but she'll be taking a vacation in China next week. It should be relaxing for her, I'm envious because I still haven't been to Beijing yet. I have sworn to climb The Great Wall.
We had a lot of fun. I got to talk to a lot of interesting people. I tried to have an eating competition against Amy, but she kicked my ass. I'm so ashamed.
We'll be looking forward to hearing from Angie and her new life. Bon Voyage!

October is a time for visitors apparently. Gene and Sunny have come back to Hong Kong. It is always nice when close friends come to visit, and these two are some of my closest.
The situations are a little different this time though. Sunny was in a relationship last year, which has ended and so we've tried to support him in his "single" status. Gene on the other hand, due to an off hand comment made by Sunny, has been officially labeled as "in a relationship" with Sharon, whom I met New Years Eve.
Together with their friends we've been hanging out in Hong Kong, catching up and filling our hours with endless debates. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Sharon, and quite possibly her friend Freda, are convinced I am bi-curious. Through some off handed jokes, which she takes seriously, and has been an on going joke amongst us. Additionally, we've been questioning her definition of "making out". Making out normally contains some pubic hair rubbing, apparently. There has been a lot of on going jokes amongst our group and it has brought me nearly to tears on several occasions.
I just got back from hitting the clubs with them. Getting in has been a pain lately, though we've been building up our self confidence getting to know girls in the clubs. I was amazed at how skilled young Daniel was at this. I've always had problems getting to know strangers, girls, in clubs. We've surprisingly have done okay for ourselves and it has been rewarding for our own self confidence.
Gene and Sharon will be gone soon, Sunny will be here a little longer. They have been my source of enjoyment lately. After this month I don't know how I'm going to feel, after they leave, and Angie and Marell leave. I'm going to miss all my good friends.

October seems to be an interesting month. Just before Angie leaves, Joyce volunteered to help her, Richard, and Janice shop over at Diesel. Janice kept hunting around for a present for her French boyfriend. Apparently it is her first present. We dropped by 55DSL at Sogo afterwards and chatted with some of the workers; Katie, Keith, and Wing.
It has been a month of Diesel for me. That night Joyce invited me out to Hong Kong's temple street to spend some time with a few Italians from
55DSL who were visiting on business. Rina has been in Hong Kong several times, and is absolutely a pro at haggling in the market. Betty has been here a few times, but specifically wanted to have her fortune told this trip. Veronica was the new addition the the 55DSL team, and this was her first trip to Hong Kong. I think they all enjoyed the trip very much. While we were walking around Temple Street, Rina bumped into two other Italian guys whom she had met a long time ago. It was a father and son combo who came to Hong Kong to display their shoe designs at a convention. The father goes by the name Emilio Lungaro. We ate together and took pictures together. The girls brought up one interesting point, apparently older Italian males have a tendency to feel up females when they get the chance.
Even though Vanessa and I aren't together. I went and dropped by her birthday at Heat (Wan Chai). They had a light meal and unlimited drinks that night. I got to socialize with a few of her friends whom I met on her boat trip. I wasn't too familiar with the people there, but luckily Jenn, Monique, and Wendy showed up. We goofed around and took lots of silly pictures. We managed to convince a table of medical professionals, or aspiring professionals, that we were all cousins. Wendy is their "eyes" cousin, and I'm their "nose" cousin.
Jenn was visiting so afterwards we all headed down to Lan Kwai Fong as a group to party it up. We met up with Joyce and Daniel. We had quite a big group since it was the last weekend for both Joyce and Jenn. Daniel had a few of his co-workers with him and we managed to drag them out to party all night with us, especially Vivian. I think it was definitely a memorable night.
