Targeting Asia

It has been a while since I last posted. I'll try to quickly sumarize what has happened. After returning from the Montreal trip, I visited Yoji once. I know as of today he will be leaving back to Japan on November 9th. I just completed a 60 hour TESOL/TEFL certificate. It has been running on the weekends (fully days Saturday and Sunday). This is a long tale in itself. The class was very informative for a person who has never really taught before. Creating and teaching lesson plans is difficult. My classmates were a lot of fun, I thought it was a great class, and I am pretty happy I got to meet so many nice people. The last day was on Halloween. My parents had just returned from their Asia trip the night before so I met up with them after class for dinner. I rushed right back downtown to meet with Rui, Ian, Eileen, and Akira. We ended up going to Forum for drinks, and then to XO for Karaoke. What happened after I need to write about. We stumbled into Rui's place around 2-3 am. Ian crashes on Masayuki's bed, right beside Masayuki waking him. Masayuki is half awake now, and shortly after Ian gets up and pukes inside, along the side of the bed. This really wakes Masayuki up. I have a great picture posted on imagestation of this.

I met up with Hyun Jin and her friend Ji Young today. Ji Young is a Korean lady from Mexico. She married and moved there with her husband about 3 years back. I've agreed to private tutor her as a volunteer to put my new found TESOL/TEFL skills to the test. I've been having some difficulty getting my resume straightened out so I'm a little delayed applying for work. Interesting to run into the problem of having too much information. Hopefully I can keep the blog up by the time I travel to Asia. I'm a little delayed but things are still moving ahead. Looking forward to the Waterloo hot pot this weekend.
